TUB - Technische Universität Berlin

The Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) is part of the nine leading Technical Universities in Germany (TU9) and has a strong tradition of research and teaching. The seven faculties of the university offer more than 100 courses of study from the fields of engineering and natural sciences, economics and business, planning sciences, humanities and the social sciences. Enrolment at TUB was 33,500 in 2018. Approx. 33 percent of the students are women and around 24 per cent are foreign citizens. The students are instructed by 355 professors and an academic staff of about 3.000 persons. Overall TUB employs a total of about 8.500 people in administration, workshops and laboratories, making it one of the largest technical universities in Germany.
The Chair of Quality Science (QW - Qualitätswissenschaft) as part of the IWF (Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Operation) develops innovative concepts, methods and organizational approaches for the continuous, integrated evaluation and design of quality processes and QM systems. In addition to quality science research, the department stands for the practice-oriented education of highly qualified students in lectures, seminars, project groups and scientific work, supplemented by a comprehensive range of courses for industrial and service companies.
